OakenVale was founded out of a simple frustration with modern domestic cleaning aisles. Supermarket shelves are packed with flimsy plastic brushes, synthetic sponge blocks that crumble after a fortnight, and throwaway wipes that linger in landfills for centuries. We knew that well-made wooden tools and natural plant fibres could do the job far better while looking handsome on the sink counter.
We partnered directly with European workshops that turn sustainably managed beechwood and harvest tough plant fibres like sisal and tampico. Instead of masking wood grain beneath synthetic varnishes, we leave our timber natural and finely sanded so it breathes and dries properly between domestic chores. Every shipment arrives directly at our warehouse, where each piece is inspected by hand before going into a parcel.
We operate transparently without high retail markups or wasteful packaging. Orders are packed in unbleached corrugated boxes, sealed with paper tape, and dispatched with clear courier tracking. We accept cash on delivery and direct bank transfer, backing every unused item with a simple 30-day return policy.
